We live in a world where the best parts of our lives are on display. As we scroll through our feeds, it appears like everyone else has it all together except us. The truth is what we see isn’t always reality. And what is real is that person’s journey, not ours. God’s plan for you isn’t His plan for someone else.
Ever had that moment in a conversation with a teenage girl where you weren’t sure how to respond? Maybe you couldn’t quite find the right words to respond in a way you thought would be beneficial. You might have had scriptures to share and words of encouragement to offer but somehow you still felt like it wasn’t enough.
What is prayer? How do I pray? What do I say? These are all questions I have been asked by teenagers. They are some of my favorite questions to answer because prayer is so important in our walk with God.
I’ll never forget the day I moved to Texas for the first time. I love road trips and new adventures, so there was lots of excitement as I headed out on this new journey. However, the excitement did not last. I am from Tennessee and grew up in Alabama, so it did not take long for Texas to feel like a foreign land, almost like another country.
GIRLS’ MINISTRY - It’s not a new concept. Throughout the years, many student minister's wives or adult ladies fulfilled the role of a girls’ minister without the title. But as the culture has changed, there has become a real need for a designated woman to lead this generation of young ladies within the student ministry.

In a month where thankfulness is the theme, we tend to push it to just a day. Christmas has begun to confine the idea of Thanksgiving to only 24 hours. And even then, do we really celebrate what we are thankful for in this life?
“Yes” is a simple word. We say yes to food, things and people all the time. But how often do you say “yes” to God? This word seems to become so much harder when the “yes” involves trust in what we can’t see.
